Dyspareunia Treatment - Options

Depending on your history, the results of your pelvic exam and other diagnostic tests, your doctor will develop a personalized treatment plan.

Your treatment plan for dyspareunia may include some of the following options:

  • Position change – In the case of a tipped uterus, a change in position may allow the uterus to move and result in more comfortable intercourse.
  • Medications – In the case of an infection , treatment with medication often solves the problem.
  • Lubrication – Use of a cream or jelly can help make sexual intercourse more comfortable in cases when there is not enough natural lubrication.
  • Relaxation exercises – Relaxation exercises may help a woman regain control over vaginal muscles, reducing pain and making sexual intercourse more pleasurable.
  • Surgery – If diagnostic tests determine that a physical problem, such as endometriosis or a tipped uterus could be responsible for the pain, surgery may be recommended. Many procedures can be done with laparoscopy.  In the case of a tipped uterus the UPLIFT procedure may be recommended by your doctor.

Collision Dyspareunia Bleeding and Why it is observed

WHAT IS COLLISION DYSPAREUNIA AND IS IT OBSERVED ONLY DUE TO INTERCOURSE?

Collision dyspareunia is a type of pain during sexual intercourse caused when the penis hits the uterus or the cervix. It has been described as feeling like something was being bumped or being torn inside. The condition is associated witha tipped uterus.

A tipped uterus is the term used to describe a uterus that is tilted backwards away from the belly. The condition is also referred to as a retroverted uterus or tilted uterus. All three terms are interchangeable.

Pain during sex, dyspareunia, may be caused by other reasons as well. Only consultation with a physician or another health care professional will help you find out why you hurt and help you find a solution.

There's a new treatment for dyspareunia to cause stem cells to generate new healthy tissue. The procedure is called o-shot which has been very effective with my patients.

dyspareunia anaytomy laproscopically determined by doctor by testing for anteverted uterus test

Collision dyspareunia mainly caused due to intercourse having anteverted uterus inside

The condition is mostly observed only in females who are about to get pregnancy and have a tipped or completely inverted uterus and hence when the women has intercourse she gets lot of pain accompanied by bleeding which could permanently lead to dangerous problems like infertility.

Hence you need to check your uterus for anteverted uterus

Signs of Fibroid Tumors - Bulky Uterus

Diagram illustrating benign neoplasms, namely ...
Fibroid tumors can come in many different shapes, sizes and colors. In fact some can be as small as a marble and others can be as big as a grapefruit. However we should all be aware of one fact; they can be extremely painful and uncomfortable.
In fact an enlarged uterus is one of the many signs of fibroid tumors that many women will experience. Research has shown that a uterus of a woman can become extremely large; in fact it can grow to the size of someone who is pregnant.
I wanted to list some of the signs of fibroid tumors that you can expect to notice if you are suffering from this condition. However you should be aware that a lot of the times you will never be able to detect if you have fibroid tumors; unless you get a physical from your doctor.
1. Enlarged Uterus: You will of course experience a lot of pain in that area and discomfort.
2. Painful Urination: If you are constantly in pain when you urinate; it could be one of the symptoms of fibroids.
3. Heavy Or Long Menstrual Cycles: Many women will experience long and heavy periods each and every month. This is known to be one of the signs of this condition.
4. Abnormal Bleeding: Even though I already mentioned that you could experience longer periods; you may even begin to notice some spotting in between your periods
5. Infertility And Miscarriage: Unfortunately fibroid tumor have been known to prevent the birth of a normal healthy baby; because they can easily block the fallopian tubes which can prevent the cycle or development of your baby.
These of course are just some of the symptoms of fibroids that you may begin to experience. Of course some women may not ever experience any signs of this condition until it is too late. Every women definitely needs to be made aware of this condition and what they can begin doing to prevent it and how to begin treatment of fibroids from home.
